Research shows that over 70% of students reported hearing negative remarks about gender expression from school staff. This presentation will encourage participants to reflect on their own understanding of gender and increase their knowledge of implicit bias and microaggressions and the impact they have on LGBTQ+ individuals. Participants will also develop an action plan to assist them in reducing bias and increasing resiliency among LGBTQ+ individuals.
